Everything here in Pottstown is plugging along. We have had a great past couple weeks. Our special zone conference with Elder Hafen went amazing. He is such a great speaker and teacher. He was really impressed with the work that our mission has been doing. He taught us all about the Atonement and answered any questions we had about anything. He also taught about the switch off between Vision and Work. Vision without work is daydreaming, work without vision is drudgery, work with vision brings joyful success. He was really funny and kept us laughing the whole time we were there, which was much needed since it was a 7-8 hour meeting. I was really impressed and took a ton of great notes. We just had transfers this Monday. Our whole district was split up. Both the sisters and my district leader are now training. So in our district meetings we will have two brand new missionaries.
Elder Olsen was sent to the West Philly area of Mantua. My new companion is Elder Stewart from Mesa, Arizona. He is an amazing missionary! We are really excited for this next couple transfers together. He has been out for about 7 months. The past couple days we have gone around and met all our recent converts and ward leaders. We’ve set our goals high and were going to work our butts off to get what this area needs. We’ve done a lot of teaching to members about making there personal and family mission plans and working to reach their own goals. We have been seeing a lot of results from doing this, the membership has really been supporting the ward mission plan and we have been getting great referrals.
I hope everything is going well for everyone back home. I bet you got a pretty good scare from the
fires coming over the hill. I sent in the application for my absentee ballot. You should get it soon. If it comes earlier than later you can send it out to me and I’ll send it back quick. If it comes later then you can just hold on to it.
Alright we have a big day ahead of us. We are going to King of Prussia to have lunch today with Elder and Sister Kesler, who just got back from Utah. Elder Kesler just finished having his treatments, really intense chemo therapy. I got really close to them when we served together in Frankford. I am really excited to see them today.
Have a beautiful week.
